Programs & Program Health

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Overview

This entirely new page serves as a central hub where you can manage and view all your compliance programs, program health, and visually represent the hierarchical relationships in one organized location. Program health scores provide an instant, quantitative measurement of your latest control assessments indicating what areas need attention most.

Note: The original Program Scoping page listed as ‘Programs’ has now been relocated under Tools.

Prerequisites

  • Must have administrator access

Step by Step Instructions

Creating a New Program

It is advised that you contact your CSM or Support to help load in any desired supported frameworks or to get help with loading in your own program frameworks using data imports especially if you are unfamiliar with the process. Please note that created program frameworks do not automatically map to your control sets at this time.

Managing Program Health

You will now see a new letter grade, based on the five-point US letter grade scale: A (best), B (Above Average), C (Average), D (Below Average), and F (Failing). You will also see a percentage indicating health of all underlying standards, sections, and objectives. These grades and percentages are available at the Program, Standard, Section, and Objective objects and use a straight average for calculation ultimately stemming from the underlying mapped control effectiveness of the latest assessment performed using the following scoring: Effective Assessment (Control) = A 100%; Ineffective/Not Assessed (Control) = F 0%.

  1. Navigate to Programs in the Left-Hand Navigation Menu

  2. Select the carrot (>) to drill down to see the underlying desired objects

  3. Select the letter grade and percentage badge to display further information about the score and its underlying mapped objects. There are additional charts, drill downs, and filters in this menu that can be used to display and navigate to the desired information.

  4. The text of the object may also be selected directly to navigate to the desired object. The new letter grades and percentage badge will also be displayed in the top right corner with the same functionality on the Program, Standard, Section, and Objective object screens. (Optional)

Deleting a Program

  1. Navigate to Programs in the Left-Hand Navigation Menu

  2. Select the triple dot ellipses next to the desired program, standard, section, or objective you would like to delete.

  3. Select Delete

IMPORTANT NOTE: This will permanently delete any underlying relationships (e.g. if I delete a standard, any sections and objects will be deleted as well). Additionally, any mapped relationships established throughout the instance will also be deleted.
